One of the suggestions was to bump the prayer requests up, so that we could easily see them and pray about them without sorting through the thread, so I’ll try to keep these updated!

I have a couple more requests –
I checked out the website today for the church I have to go at present – I didn’t have the courage to ask anyone what they believed so I should have gone to the website as soon as I found out it was up – they are vocally family integrated (THE Biblical way of course), and there is some disturbing lingo including “Biblical Patriarchy” and “Multigeneral Faithfulness”. Bleh. I need courage.
And today I was talking with my aunt, who is one of the few people I can talk to in real life who sees a problem with the Botkins, ect. She told me her church bought Return Of The Daughters for their library and she and my uncle were not too enthusiastic about it. Their church could probably use some prayer if this stuff is spreading to it.

While undergoing all the family crises, I have added a new one. I was in a major car accident and broke most of the ribs on my left side, my sternum, and punctured a lung a week and a half ago. I’ve returned to work because I ahve to and so am unable to take the pain meds during the day because I need to drive and to have my wits about me. But would really like your prayers. By the end of the day, I’m moving slower and slower and breathing is more and more painful. Pleae pray that the pain will ease and I will ahve a speedy recovery. Thanks so much. Missing being a part of the discussion here too BTW

Anne2 – I will add your situation to my prayer list as well.
When I was in the hospital a few years ago I had a visit from the pastor of a church I did not attend. I had met this pastor once at his church’s 25th anniversary celebration. My father founded the church and I grew up in it, so I attended the event.
About six years later, he showed up at my hospital room to read scripture and pray for me. When I asked him why he had done this, he said, “there are billions of people on the planet and we only cross paths with a few of them. If God sees fit to cross our paths, I think it means He wants us to be connected with them.”
Here we are, in a cyber-community. I agree with that pastor. There is a reason that we know each other and we need to care for each other.
Thank you for sharing your requests. They will be held before the Lord of mercy daily.

Well, it…the Big C…appears to be back. I’ve apparently jumped from a stage 3 to a stage 4 which means, the goose is essentially cooked. Please pray that we know what to do next. Healing would be nice too, I’m totally, totally, annoyed. I want to see my grandbabies. I wonder if the man Piper who wrote about not wasting his Cancer DX was much older than I and must have grandbabies already.
I’ve not posted for a while and won’t on account of all this and the repercussions here. But I do check in to read.

A wee update. I was mistakenly told last week that two spots found in July were far larger than they are. So that is good news. I go for another test on the 17th. Would appreciate prayer for this upcoming test results. I feel like I’ve just been given an extention of sorts. Thanks everyone.
